Meguiar’s is the oldest name on this shelf — the company has been making polish since 1901 — and it occupies an odd position now: simultaneously the most widely available detailing brand in Canada and one of the least visible in enthusiast shops.
The professional Mirror Glaze line is the part worth stocking. M105 and M205 remain a genuinely excellent compound-and-polish pair, they are documented properly, and they are cheap. The D-series dilutables — D149 interior detailer, D114 all-purpose — are shop staples for good reason.
The consumer line is where it gets confusing. Ultimate, Hybrid Ceramic and Gold Class overlap heavily, the naming has changed several times, and the same product has appeared under three labels. We stock from the professional side.
