Paint Correction

Paint Correction

Paint correction is abrasion: levelling the clear coat down to the base of the defect. Everything in this department is a variable in that one equation — the machine’s throw, the pad’s cut, the compound’s abrasive, and the time you spend.
Two rules save more paint than any product choice. Measure before you cut — a paint depth gauge tells you how much clear you have to work with. And the least aggressive combination that works is the correct one; you can always step up, and you cannot put clear coat back.
