Backing Plates

Backing Plates

The backing plate is a safety part. It must match the machine’s thread and throw, and it should be roughly 20–25 mm smaller than the pad so the pad’s edge is supported. A worn plate with a lifting hook-and-loop face will throw a pad at speed.
