Exterior wash equipment on wet asphalt

Wash

Wash

The wash is where most swirl marks are created, which makes shampoo choice more consequential than it looks. Three things decide it: pH, dilution and lubricity. A pH-neutral shampoo is safe over a cured coating; an alkaline one strips wax and sealant, which is what you want before correction and not what you want the week after a $900 coating install.
Dilution ratio is the honest price. A shampoo at 1:500 and one at 1:128 can cost the same per bottle and differ fourfold per wash. Every listing here states the ratio.
If you wash weekly, buy neutral and concentrated. If you wash before correction, buy a stripping wash and keep it separate.
