Trade accounts

What a trade account gets you, what it does not, and the honest position on brands whose own rules we have to follow.

Who this is for

Detail shops, mobile detailers, body shops, dealer recon departments, and marine and aviation operations buying the same chemistry by the gallon.

If you are a keen owner with a nice car, a trade account is unlikely to save you money. It is built around volume and terms, not a better shelf price on a single bottle.

What it gets you

  • Volume pricing on the lines where the manufacturer permits it, which is most of the chemistry and the consumables.
  • Net 30 terms after three settled orders.
  • A named contact rather than a form queue.
  • Stock held on the two or three lines you go through fastest, so a Friday call does not become a Tuesday delivery.
  • Safety Data Sheets issued against your SKUs for your WHMIS binder, current revision, on request.

What it does not get you

Several brands on this shelf set their own dealer rules and we follow them. Rupes controls margin tightly — around five percent to dealers — so there is very little to pass on, and anybody advertising a deep discount on a current Rupes machine is selling grey stock. Gyeon runs distributor-exclusive in Canada. Chemical Guys prohibits resale through the marketplaces.

We would rather say that plainly than quote you a trade price on a line where we cannot actually deliver one.

Applying

Contact us with what you do, roughly what you go through in a month, and the two or three products that make up most of it. That last part matters more than the total — it is what tells us whether a trade account is worth anything to you.

We do not require a minimum opening order and we do not charge for the account.
